As the Sun sets this Sunday, October 9, look towards the east for the beautiful full moon to rise in the constellation Pisces, the fishes. The most popular nickname for full moon’s in October is Hunter’s Moon – in recognition to the traditional start of hunting season in preparation for the long cold winter. Other moniker’s for this month’s full moon’s include Ice Moon or Freezing Moon – just as the temperatures’ begin to get downright chilly this time of the year across the Northern Hemisphere.
